International Housing Guidelines

• International Housing is for International Scholars and Professors visiting Texas A&M University. The International Programs Office supplies short-term housing (typically less than one year), and has apartments located at The Ridge Apartments, 2250 Dartmouth in College Station, Texas. The apartments are on the TAMU bus route, and are (1.5) miles from campus


• Rent is $1,200.00 per month. Rent can be paid with "Aggie Bucks", or be billed to the department. If you agree to have a roommate, your rent will be $600.00 per month.


• Rent includes utilities, local telephone service, basic cable and wireless internet service. Residents will make their own arrangements for long distance/international telephone calls.


• All apartments are furnished with necessary small appliances, furniture, towels, dishes, pots and pans, sheets, etc. An inventory list is available upon request.


• A one-time move-in fee (cleaning fee) of $75.00, and a deposit $100.00 is required.


• Tenants must come into the International Housing Office, 260 Bizzell West, to sign a sub-lease agreement and to pick up a tenant packet (if not already received) on the first full working day after arrival.


• Rent is due on the 1st of every month. Tenant pays full rent or pro-rated rent depending on the exact number of days he/she occupies the apartment. The daily rate is $50.00 or $25.00 (with roommate) per day. (If the move in date is other than the 1st of the month the daily rate is charged starting with the date of move in thru the end of the month not to exceed the full months rent.) If stay is less three weeks rent will be $60.00/$30.00 per day.


• If cancellations are not made at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled arrival date the sponsoring department will be billed for a month rent of $1,200.00.


• Upon the departure, any outstanding charges or damages to the apartment not paid by the tenant will be billed to the sponsoring department.


• Apartment numbers assigned before arrival are subject to change at any time in order to accommodate as many requests as possible.
